-SW-1.3.5 系列温度保险丝由可动触点(sliding contact)、 弹簧(spring)、可熔体(electrically nonconductive thermal pellet)构成。在温度保险丝启动之前电流从左侧引线流向可动触点(sliding contact),通过金属外壳向右侧引线流动。在外部温度达到预定温度时可熔体熔化,压缩弹簧会变松。即弹簧膨胀,可动触点(slidingcontact)与左侧引线分离。回路被打开,可动触点(sliding contact)与左侧引线间电流被切断。

-SW-2 系列温度保险丝由轴对称的引线(leed )、在规定温度下可熔化的金属化合物可熔体(thermal element)及为防止其熔化氧化的特殊混合物(special compound)和绝缘容器(ceramic insulator)构成。周围温度上升时特定的树脂混合物开始液化, 当达到熔点时树脂混合物熔化产生表面张力作用,之后连接两个引线的金属化合物熔化移向引线,从而永久切断回路。
